  • Life on an Albanian farm can be rough. I've seen many of my friends carried away for slaughter over the years. Sometimes it's discouraging, but you just have to keep on living and keep on fighting. With that in mind, here is another case study.

    Case 7: Pete the Pumpkin

Ok, this one has always been a pet peeve of mine. Let me start by describing Pete. Here is a picture of Pete

Pete was a loner. He lost his mom at an early age. He was always insecure about his size. Once you got to know Pete and got him to open up, he was hilarious. One morning i woke up and Pete was gone. Check out what some "kid" did to Pete

My first thought when i saw this picture was, " that kid's parents should have beat that kid". Then i found out that not only did the kid's parents let the kid do this, they encouraged it. In my opinion, gutting another living creature is the most horrific thing you can do. Even worse, they put a candle in him and put him on display in front of their house. All of this pertains to some "religious holiday" ? Unbelievable. If this happened to their kid, the national guard would be out looking for the culprit.

    Is there any hope?

Thank you for your time and patience

    Sincerely, Bob the Carrot

  • As a break from all the case studies i have been doing here at the PETV, i thought i would take the time to point out a few websites that have evidently joined in the cause. Before i go into this, i do want to point out that, while www.xanga.com/thepetv may support the opinions and efforts of many of these websites, we are in no way affiliated with them. These are just a few of the many PETV related websites out there on the internet. I hope you find them informative.

www.petv.org seems to show promise, but lacks in content at the moment.

members.shaw.org/petveg has some good information everyone should know. This site is highly recommended.

http://www.geocities.com/producesectiontragedy/ is a small but well designed and interesting site i also recommend checking out. Here is a quote from the from front page

"Just because you can't hear us scream, it doesn't mean we're not screaming on the inside"

I think that pretty much says it all

groups.yahoo.com/clubs/petveg looks to be an interesting discussion website with some promise

There are numerous other websites and blogs out there that are working to get the message out. I hope you will check these and other websites out and support the cause.

As always, we greatly appreciate your time.

  • Another day, another case of violence against vegetables. This has to stop someday, right?

    Case 6: Glen the Pea

    Ladies and gentlemen, meet glen.

This story comes to you from my friend susan, who happens to also be a pea. Glen was such a happy-go-lucky fella. Whatever the situation, whatever the problem, Glen was always there to listen and cheer up the vegetables around him. I've never heard of anyone more positive in my life. Susan says his jovial nature was almost sickening. When  you were down though, Glen was the one you wanted around. Ladies and gentlemen, here is what they did to poor Glen

Imagine having the flesh pulled off your body and being disembowled while you are still living. This is sick folks. I hear they boiled his insides as well afterwards. How someone can live with themselves after doing such a thing to another living being I will never know. I hear peas don't even taste good to humans. This makes no sense to me at all.

As always, thank you for your time

  • You guys thought i had been taken away, didn't you? ADMIT IT!!!!

Ok guys, sorry about the break in posting. You try to get a computer service guy to visit you in the middle of a garden in Albania and see how far it gets you. Now imagine if you were a carrot trying to get a guy to come out to look at things. Anyways, there are many more stories to be written and many more tales to be told in the coming days. Thank you for your patience and for your interest in the cause.

    Respectfully

  • Another day, another case study, another act of violence against vegetables. This one hits a little closer to home for me though.

Case 5: Sarah and Olivia, twin baby carrots

First off, check these two out along with a couple of their cousins

Aren't they just precious? Check them out now.

Thats after their heads have been lopped off and they have been boiled alive? This is so disgusting. They were just babies for crying out loud!!!!! If you don't understand the pain that these babies parents must have endured, then imagine your babies head being lopped off and then their bodies being boiled alive. I would never in a zillion years wish that on a human baby, so i don't understand why humans would do such a thing to a baby carrot. What is wrong with this world?

Thank you once again for your precious time.

A thoroughly sickened Bob the Carrot
